Elizabeth Rydall

What inspired you to become a teacher, and what do you enjoy most about teaching your subject?

Homeschooling my own children and teaching them about art, my lifelong love, inspired me to teach others. Soon this expanded into other classes like theatre, mythology, language arts, etc. It is a joy to be in a creative environment with learners, so I just keep doing it!

What are some of your hobbies or interests outside of the classroom?

Painting and painting murals are my other occupations. These are lifelong avocations, hobbies, affinities! I also play competitive tennis and competed in National USTA tournaments with teams I captained in 2022 and 2023. My biggest interest is my family!

What was your favorite subject in school and why?

Art was my favorite although I liked anything that allowed me to think freely and create, so German, PE, and Philosophy were also interesting.

Anything else we should know about you?

I’m ancient and kinda like it!
