What inspired you to become a teacher, and what do you enjoy most about teaching your subject?

I am inspired to teach by the great teachers that shaped my life by being mentors and friends as much as they were instructors. Having been taught in a personal, passionate, and playful way, I’d like to extend that privilege to my students.

What are some of your hobbies or interests outside of the classroom?

I compete on my school’s Mock Trial and Moot Court teams and am an editor on the undergraduate Law Review Journal. Besides academics, I like to work out, rock climb, hike, cook, and play board games with friends.

What was your favorite subject in school and why?

My favorite subject in school was history because my teachers gave me great freedom to research and write about subjects that really interested me like the history of the Gold Standard and intellectual trends in Post-WWII America.

Anything else we should know about you?

I am a follower of Jesus Christ committed to loving my neighbor as myself!
