About Jen:
Jen Fischer is a writer, media producer, and educator whose work focuses on highlighting shared human experiences to cultivate empathy and understanding. As a filmmaker her work has screened across the United States and abroad and has been featured by NBCLatino, ABC, Univision, Fusion, NBCBLK, Vice News, etc. Her educational writing and film educational and/or film reviews have been featured in Edutopia, Video Librarian, Ms. Magazine, Parents Magazine and other publications. In addition to her development work with Branches Learning, Jennifer works with Journeys in Film. She has also developed curriculum for LA’s BEST and the Metta Center for Nonviolence. She received her M.A. from Harvard University and her B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College. She is the mother of high school students currently attending Branches Learning.
