What inspired you to become a teacher, and what do you enjoy most about teaching your subject?

I love guiding young people to make discoveries and learn about the world around them. Kids are naturally curious and I love encouraging them to use those questions to learn and discover.

What are some of your hobbies or interests outside of the classroom?

I love spending time with my family, hiking, going to the river, camping, and reading.

What was your favorite subject in school and why?

My favorite subject in school was always English Language Arts. I love reading and writing. As an adult, you can still always find me with a book in hand.

Anything else we should know about you?

This is my 11th year teaching. I have taught online, in public schools, and charter schools.

I am a mother of a two-year-old daughter, with another daughter on the way. My daughter is my biggest inspiration in creating experiences that encourage life-long learning.
