What inspired you to become an office manager, and what do you enjoy most about your role?
I love being an office manager and for the past twelve years, I’ve had the opportunity to use my leadership skills to help students, teachers and staff thrive. Creating an organized and efficient work environment helps morale among staff and students. This role allows me to interact with various people, fostering teamwork and collaboration within the academic community. Additionally, seeing students gain the skills and tools needed to succeed in life is incredibly rewarding to me.
What are some of your hobbies or interests?
I enjoy spending my free time reading a good book, where each page offers a new adventure and lets my imagination run wild. Music has been a constant in my life since childhood, with my mom always playing music as we did our Saturday chores. The beach is my go-to retreat, providing an escape from my daily hustle. My ideal way to spend my free time combines these passions: reading my favorite book with the soothing sounds of music and ocean waves in the background.
What was your favorite subject in school and why?
History was my favorite subject throughout my schooling. I found joy in unraveling the complexities of different eras and civilizations and seeing how they shaped the world we live in today. Hopefully, with a thorough understanding of historical events, it will help us avoid repeating the mistakes of our ancestors.
Anything else we should know about you?
I strive to leave a positive impact on everyone I interact with by fostering genuine connections and showing empathy. Through a kind word, a supportive gesture, or active listening, I aim to uplift others in my personal and professional interactions. Creating a positive atmosphere where people feel valued and understood is important, as it contributes to a more harmonious and fulfilling environment for everyone involved.
