Courses Overview

Our second-grade class makes math fun! The curriculum is aligned with the Common Core Standards and focuses on building each student’s foundational math skills through hands-on experiences and traditional paper-and-pencil activities.

In this course, students will:

  • Use manipulatives and investigate real-world scenarios
  • Increase their foundational math skills in counting, addition, subtraction, place value, telling time, and understanding money
  • Be empowered to solve everyday problems — including those involving time and money
  • Engage in math-based projects that promote collaboration and communication skills while applying math to daily situations
