Visual Arts 1 AB

Courses Overview

Visual Arts 1 explores five foundational concepts of the California standards: artistic perception, creative expression, historical and cultural context, aesthetic valuing and connections, and relationships and applications. In addition, students explore art theory, apply the conventions of art criticism, and develop fundamental skills through experimentation with media and techniques used to create art. Students will review works by the masters and understand their influences in the world.
